The Squids 3175 Accessory Anchor Strap 18kg with Wear Sleeve threads through railings, scaffolding, equipment and structures to create a retrofit attachment point for tethering tools up to 18kg, preventing dropped or falling objects from occurring on the job. With a static anchor maximum safe working capacity of 181kg, the Anchor Strap can be attached to a structure or elevated work platform to support multiple tool lanyards or tool buckets, the Anchor Strap is versatile as a dynamic tool tail and can support a single tool weighing up to 18kg.

Intended for heavy tools, this strap should only be affixed to the worksite (not for fall arrest). Built for lasting security, this anchor attachment features heavy-duty abrasion-resistant polyester webbing and a durable steel D-ring. An additional wear sleeve helps to reduce wear and tear by adding a layer of protection against elements and surface abrasion.

Once the loop end of the tail is secured to the anchor point, the D-ring acts as a captive hole for tethering tool lanyards. For use as a system, this anchor strap is compatible with Squids Tool Lanyards.

For workers on construction sites, mining, infrastructure and other industrial settings, the threat of falling objects can be a serious hazard. Even a small tool or piece of equipment dropped from a height can cause significant injury or damage, and in some cases, even be fatal. To combat this risk, many worksites in Australia have adopted the concept of a “Drop Free Zone,” where workers are required to take extra precautions to prevent death and injuries caused by falling objects. Find out more about creating a DROP FREE ZONE.

TESTED TO BE TRUSTED – All lanyards are rigorously tested and third-party certified to a static anchor maximum safe working capacity of 181kg and a tool tail maximum safe working capacity 18kg, with a 2:1 safety factor to prevent falling objects. When working at heights, choosing the best tool tethering equipment matters because there are no second chances.

DROPPED OBJECTS STANDARD 121-2018 – The ISEA/ANSI Dropped Objects Standard provides guidelines to protect workers from hazardous dropped objects. It outlines requirements for personal protective equipment, procedures, and systems to reduce the risk of injury from falling objects.
